The Influence of the Democratic Leadership Style of the Madrasah Principal on the Habituation of Dhuha Prayer at MTs Raudhotul Ulum Bogor

This study aims to analyze the effect of the democratic leadership style of the madrasah principal on students’ habituation of dhuha prayer at MTs Raudhotul Ulum Bogor. The study employed a quantitative approach with a causal-associative design. The population consisted of 30 students from grades VII and VIII, all of whom were included as the sample using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics version 26. The data analysis included normality testing, linearity testing, simple linear regression, t-test, and coefficient of determination. The results showed that the democratic leadership style of the madrasah principal had a positive and statistically significant effect on students’ habituation of dhuha prayer. The regression analysis produced a coefficient of 0.499, with and a significance value of 0.012 < 0.05. The coefficient of determination () was 0.205, indicating that democratic leadership explained 20.5% of the variation in students’ dhuha prayer habituation, while the remaining 79.5% was associated with other factors outside the model. These findings indicate that democratic leadership is one factor that may support students’ religious practices, while the development of consistent worship habits also requires broader support through role modeling, guidance, and a religious school culture.
